If you have already completed Level 2 qualification, you can then undertake a Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrical Installation. A qualification in Electrical Installation, like a Level 3 Diploma, gives you the ability to work independently on jobs. You will be responsible for managing projects, budgeting, scheduling work and communicating with colleagues,
clients and the employer. You can work in either commercial or domestic environments. If you are working in a commercial environment, you will work in areas such as factories, schools, offices and shopping centres. If you are working in a domestic environment, you will be responsible for repairing electrical installations in private homes.
If you wish to work in a non-domestic setting, you need to work towards a Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Electrical Installation or an IET level 7 diploma. You will need to demonstrate that Electrician cambridge you have the necessary skills, knowledge and understanding to provide installation services to customers. You will need to understand health and safety regulations and keep up to date with the latest technology. You must also be able to use modern tools and equipment.
