Does Moon Knight Look Like Batman In The Super Bowl Trailer?

Does Moon Knight Look Like Batman In The Super Bowl Trailer?

The Moon Knight Super Bowl trailer revealed some new parts of Mark Spector’s weapons and outfit that may leave viewers thinking the person is a copy of DC’s Batman. Whatever the transit date of Moon Knight’s Walk 30 may be, little has been seen of the person. The new parts revealed in the Super Bowl Moon Knight trailer offer a more nuanced look at how the MCU is reshaping this incarcerated Marvel character.

Moon Knight

The Super Bowl Moon Knight trailer is only 30 seconds long and shows off some dangerous parts of Marc Spector’s (Oscar Isaac) character mixed in with interactions between Moon Knight and Ethan Hawke’s Arthur Harrow. As Moon Knight leans toward the men trailing him with programmed rifles, he spreads his arms wide to reveal a towering white cape behind him. A second later, while staying before a gathering around nightfall, Marc Spector receives a twisted edged boomerang before hopping between rooftops at nightfall.

More about Moon Knight

Moon Knight’s bow boomerang (moon?) certainly looks like Batman’s iconic batarang. Basically, his cape and night-time rooftop undertones carry some connection with DC’s Caped Crusader. While these parallels between Batman and Moon Knight in the Super Bowl trailer won’t necessarily be objective, they are not unexpected. For a surprisingly long time, comic book readers have considered Moon Knight to be Marvel’s answer to Batman. While some see Tony the Undisputed as the extravagantly rich guy from Bruce Wayne’s Playboy, Moon Knight has more sizable counterparts who move on. While Iron Man drives his fights to the limit most of the time, both Batman and Moon Knight are educated to manage things in an exceptionally close, and more inherently wild, way in the long run.

Tony unquestionably reconciles his own course of action with his own insidious existence, Batman’s inner turmoil seems to be even more believably hindered by Mark Spector’s mental tussle. The Moon Knight trailer may sound like Batman in various ways, it’s not really the case that the MCU is copying DC, but rather a symptom of the longstanding tussle that’s been going on in Marvel and DC’s comic book books for quite some time.

Moon Knight Trailer

Strolling DC’s turf in the MCU it’s easy to see the Moon Knight trailer leaning towards a more dark and serious tone, as DC has established well through the Christopher Nolan Dull Knight set of three and Snyderverse movies. Regardless, this choice is a great sign of the way both the MCU and DCEU are developing. Unlike anything Marvel has done before, Moon Knight is taking a much darker tone and helps establish the disturbing genre that the expertly paranormal In The Multiverse Of Madness Super Bowl trailer extends. Similarly, with James Gunn responsible for The Implosion team and Peacemaker in the DCEU, Second Foundation is a part of the timeline taking on the more sick-breed tone that was a sign of the MCU for quite some time.

End

Clearly, there’s a part of the Moon Knight trailer that speculates that there may be a sliver of commonality driving a more objective brawl between Marc Spector and this variety of Batman. Moon Knight will head straight to Disney+ spouting on Walk 30. Meanwhile, DC’s dirty new understanding of Bruce Wayne, The Batman, will only focus on Walk 4 in execution. With the two properties in close proximity, DC and Marvel likely realised that the relationship would be drawn with the request of who tackled the dull and morally dim legends better.
