The architectural design of the City Palace was a blend of the Shilpa Shastra of Indian Architecture with Rajput, Mughal, and European Styles. Made of Red and Pink Sandstone, this place has spacious courtyards, surrounded by many arched small businesses. These small places have now been converted into museums. Tourists can either visit the palaces themselves or take a guided tour.

It is located in ‘Diwan-I-Aman’, which was built as a public Hall of Palace. Many delicate miniatures of Rajasthani, Mughal, and Persian can be seen in the Museum. It has many popular themes like Ramayana, elephant saddle, painted ceiling, and large beautiful chandeliers. Moreover, the chandeliers are displayed only on special occasions as a Protection against Dust.

The Museum also has beautiful marble pathways that can charm anyone. Also, the Museum has two colossal silver vessels of gleaming silver. They are considered the largest in the world.

Since the palace is split into two parts- the Museum and the house of the Royal Family, there are two separate tickets that you will have to purchase for each position. Also, you can take the combo ticket, which is applicable for both classes.

The Entry Timings of City Palace are 9.30 AM to 5 PM ( Day Visit) and 7.00 PM to 10.00 PM. It opens All days a Week.
