By Bus: 

From Delhi to Haridwar & Rishikesh, bus services are provided by both public and private transportation. By Train:

By Air:

By Bike/Car: 

There aren’t any detours for two-wheelers, hence the distance from Delhi to Kedarnath by bike stays the same. Sonprayag is the final stop for parking, so regardless of whether you’re self-driving, using a driver, renting a bike or car from Delhi or Dehradun, or driving your vehicle, you can get there quickly. If you want to fly to Kedarnath from Rishikesh/Haridwar: Take a taxi from Rishikesh/Haridwar to Phata, which is around 200 kilometers and 195 km from the two cities, respectively.

Things to Bear in Mind Before the Kedarnath Trek

  • Before beginning the trek to Kedarnath, get checked out.
  • It is not recommended for people with respiratory conditions or high blood pressure to hike to Kedarnath
  • Make sure to make a reservation in advance at the Gaurikund/Sonprayag booking counter if you intend to travel via Kandi, Ponies, or Palki.
  • Since this is the only time pilgrims are permitted to trek to Kedarnath, do so between 4:00 AM and 11:30 PM.
  • You can use Palki or Ponies to get to your destination if you won’t be able to finish the trek until late in the day. You can also spend a night in the camps that are set up between the treks at Lincholi, Bheem Bali, and Jungle Chatti.
