Introduction 

Himachal Pradesh, a state most popularly known for its beautiful mountains, lush greenery, some of the highest peaks in the country, and the amount of peace it brings to the mind, is one of the major tourist attractions in India if not the world. Most popularly referred to as the heart of Dharamshala and McLeod Ganj, the Triund trek is one of the best treks in the Himalayas. It is situated at an altitude of 7700 feet above sea level. Triund is a beautiful grassy alpine meadow situated at the top of a hill from where one can witness a beautiful view of the majestic Dhauladhar ranges and a panoramic view of the Kangra valley. Night camping at the top of triund is one of the best experiences one could ever have. It is a trek through the highest waterfall of McLeod Ganj, the Bhagau nag waterfall. We can enjoy the Himalayas’ natural beauty and serenity on the Triund Trek. This trek might be short but it will surely give you a little taste of adventure as the trail is a little steep at some points.

Time required  

This trek would usually take up to two days. On the first, day one can reach the biggest waterfall in McLeod Ganj. You can stop at a campsite in Leta or Mana village. While moving up you can also see the amazing view of the Kangra valley on one side and the Dhauladhar mountain range on the other. After that, you can return to the campsite and stay there for the night. You can also enjoy a bonfire night under the starry sky. One of the best experiences would result from it. The next day you will wake up to a mesmerizing view of the mountains and the mystical views of the surroundings. After enjoying nature for some time you can go back to your starting point. This would be a trek with a bag full of memories.
