What is “Citizens Free Press”?
Citizen Free Press is not the same as “citizens-free press”. The former is a right-leaning news site, while the latter is an idea. Citizens free press allows citizens to actively participate in the collection, dissemination and analysis of information. This concept can also be called citizen journalism, guerilla journalist, collaborative media, and many other names. It works outside of the traditional media requirements, such as CNN, BBC, or Reuters. Citizen press is similar to user-generated content. It collects information from the general public. Mobile technology has made this form of reporting more popular in recent years. Consider how ordinary citizens helped to report major global events such as the Haiti earthquake, Occupy Wall Street, and, most recently, Black Lives Matter.
What happened to Citizen Free Press?
People expect journalists and news reporters to provide balanced and fair reporting. Reporters must be objective in reporting. Reporters should tell the story from both sides without showing bias. Professional journalists must practice neutrality and stick to the facts.
The mainstream media must present the truth and not offer opinions. A journalist’s code ethics is founded on truth, fairness, and accuracy. If journalists make up stories or stray away from the truth, they could be held responsible under the Libel Law.
However, citizen reporting tends to make neutrality disappear. Citizen Free Press is a conservative-leaning information source. It was , a breakaway offspring from Drudge Report, a right-leaning news outlet. Citizenfreepress.com even has a similar look to Drudge.

What is the Media Bias Chart?
The media bias graph shows the credibility and political bias of news outlets. It covers all the major media conglomerates (e.g. BBC, Time, NPR etc.). It also covers a few lesser-known outfits, such as Mercola, Activist Post and Distractify.
The chart currently features the AP and Reuters, USA Today, Wall Street Journal in Middle, and USA Today. Reuters and AP are both in the Fact Reporting quadrant. This means that they are two of the most impartial news sources in media. All other sources mentioned in the Middle are included in the Mostly Analysis or Mix of Fact Reporting and Analysis Quadrant.
CNN, The Guardian and The New York Times are all in the Skews Left quadrant, while Fox News (web), New York Post, and Rasmussen reports are in Skews Right.
What does a free press do for citizens?

Journalists have the freedom to pursue stories and present reports without fear of reprisal, particularly if they shed light on political transactions or government transactions. Both citizens and the media have legal recourse in the event of an incident or other issue that could affect the balance of information.
However, freedom comes with certain responsibilities.
While cases suggest that the judiciary treats citizen press differently to professional journalists, both have a responsibility to provide objective stories to the public. Information is power. It must be sourced, managed, and presented in a proper manner.
