Most of the phones facilitate sending of SMS across different phones. But sometimes two phones with different operating systems especially iOS and Android, there might be glitches while sending messages across two different phones with respective operating systems. There can be several other reasons for SMS not sending across the two phones.

Let’s find out through this blog the solutions to the iPhone not sending messages to android

Configuration Of Your iPhone

While sending messages across iPhones, ‘message failed to send iPhone’ issue is quite rare to happen. But sometimes when ‘iPhone not sending texts to android’ occurs while sending messages from iPhone to android, there is a setting to use SMS while iPhone messages show as unavailable.

  1. In the Settings app locate the Messages option and click on it.
  2. There scroll down to find Send as SMS option and turn it on.

Checking Airplane Mode

Sometimes iphone messages not sending to android occurs when this is some issue with your mobile connection. This sometimes leads to glitches in your phone. Switching on and then off your iPhone’s Airplane Mode can often help in resolving your issue.

  1. Swipe down on the screen for opening the Control Center.
  2. Enable the Airplane mode.
  3. Wait for a few seconds, then disable the Airplane mode to re-enable the wireless networks.

Restarting the iPhone

Another solution to iPhone messages not delivered is rebooting the phone. Rebooting your iPhone will clear out all the interim glitches in the wireless network software and Messages app along with various other background services.

Deregistering Phone Number From iMessages

When a user switches his/her phone from ios to android there are a lot of things that need to be changed. One of them is the phone number. When you are an iPhone user, your phone number is registered with ios messaging service i.e. iMessages. But as you switch to an android phone, it is important for you to deregister your phone number from iMessages if not changing the number. This is because when you are registered with iMessages, iPhones try to send iMessages to your android phone rather than normal android SMS texts. Since android can’t process iMessages, nothing is received by your phone as text messages. So you should deregister your phone number from iMessages if you are only switching to a new phone and not a new phone number too.

Check for iOS Updates

You must ensure that your iPhone system is up to date. If there are any software updates pending or notifications for new software updates pop up, install those updates to fix the issue of a message failed to send iPhone.

  1. Go to the Settings app on the iPhone.
  2. Click on the General option.
  3. Find the software updates menu and look for pending or new updates.
  4. If there are any updates, click on Software Update and install.

Recalibrating Network Settings

By following the above solutions if your messages are still not being received by the android phone user, you need to recalibrate your iPhone’s network settings i.e. reset your network settings. It’s a good method as it will erase all your network settings, including saved Wi-Fi and other network passwords and all the paired Bluetooth devices.

1. Go to the Settings app. Locate the General option and click on it.

2. Select the Transfer or Reset iPhone option.

4. Select the Reset option.

5. In the popup menu, select Reset Network Settings and then give your confirmation that this is what you want to do.
