Amazon Web Services Partners with Conduent to Help Government Agencies Scale COVID-19 Responses

We are partnering with Amazon Web Services (AWS) partner Conduent (a business process and services company) to enable federal agencies, and state and local governments to better monitor the spread of COVID-19 and report on cases and potential exposures. Conduent’s outbreak management and control platform – Maven (powered by AWS)- can be rapidly deployed by healthcare organizations so that they can begin performing “contact traceability” across entire regions securely and on a large scale. In the United States, Conduent waives the software license fee for the COVID-19 Maven module until June 30, 2020, for qualified state and territorial public health agencies to help them fight COVID-19.

Amazon Web Services and Electronic Caregiver Help Healthcare Professionals Assess COVID-19 Symptoms Remotely
Amazon Lex is also powering smart hub technology for Electronic Caregiver, a provider of health and safety monitoring devices, to support the detection and treatment of COVID-19. The technology allows healthcare professionals to remotely monitor vital signs, such as high temperature and flu-like symptoms, via wearable devices. If a high temperature is detected, the technology triggers a voice interaction between the healthcare provider and the patient via the wearable device to check for symptoms and evaluate a COVID-19 risk score. The solution can also connect to a telemedicine service at the doctor’s request to provide additional remote diagnoses and prescriptions.

Priority to Amazon Prime Orders

We have adopted specific distancing measures within our distribution centers so that our employees can work safely. This translates into the ability to focus our available capacity on products that have the highest priority and, starting today, we will temporarily stop accepting orders for certain non-essential products on Amazon.co.uk. This decision allows our distribution center employees to focus on receiving and shipping the products customers need most right now. Customers can still order many of these products from sales partners who ship directly. car washes
