What is the FSSAI?
The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) is the regulatory body for food safety and quality in India. The FSSAI regulates the sale and consumption of food products based on their nutritional value, nutritional content and food safety standards. The FSSAI has been established under an Act of Parliament called the Prevention of Food Adulteration Act, 1954.
FSSAI is required by law to register all manufacturers, importers and packers that manufacture or import foods into India. The FSSAI Registration Process
The FSSAI registration process is a three-step process. You will need to register with the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) and get your product inspected.
Step 1: Registration
You will need to register your business with the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). This can be done online or by filling in a form and sending it to them. Once you have registered, you will receive an IDC number, which is your unique identification number for your business. The IDC number is required when you want to submit an application for inspection.
Step 2: Inspection
A food inspector from the FSSAI will inspect your premises, equipment. Stock and records to make sure that they are in compliance with all applicable laws and rules relating to food safety. Your premises will be inspected after receiving approval from a senior official from the FSSAI. If your premises pass inspection, then you can apply for registration with the FSSAI at any time after this date by submitting an application form along with any supporting documents such as invoices, bills or receipts etc., according to their requirements.

2: Once you have applied online for registration, a team from FSSAI will contact you within 45 days to verify your information
3: After verification, you will be eligible to apply for a certificate of registration from our team
